Questions about development for South Africa-connected teams

Can we start with a repair rather than a replacement?

Yes. A useful first investigation identifies the symptom, the conditions that reproduce it and the capabilities the existing system already provides. If a bounded correction can meet the agreed requirement, replacement may add work without resolving a demonstrated limitation. The repair guide follows a validation defect through that decision.

Do you work from South Africa?

Faith Forge Labs delivers remotely from the United States. This site addresses South Africa-connected organisations and audiences; it does not represent a South African office or local professional licence. Agree the working hours, decision contacts and review arrangements for your project rather than assuming continuous local availability.

Which languages can the project support?

Agree the customer-facing language coverage by task. That may include English, Afrikaans, isiZulu or other content, with approved wording supplied by your organisation or qualified review arranged within the scope. Technical discussions are in English unless another arrangement is agreed. Language pages do not imply certified translation or native-language support.

What should we bring to the first discussion?

One example is enough: a URL, a blank form or a fictional record showing what someone tried and where the work stalled. Name the person who can approve the business result. Keep credentials and private records out of the initial message. First-conversation guidance shows how to separate a customer information gap from an internal lookup problem.

Can you connect our existing payment provider?

The provider's supported operations and your merchant arrangement determine what is possible. Confirm account access, the relevant payment methods and permitted test facilities before promising a checkout path. We can plan the technical integration and staff exception handling; your provider and advisers determine financial and regulatory questions.

Will the application work offline?

Only if the agreed design includes the required offline behaviour. Keeping a page visible is different from retaining a recoverable draft or safely synchronising a later change. Offline work introduces storage, access, conflicts and reconciliation questions that need their own scope and checks.

How do you review an application used on shared devices?

Identify the real task, intended accounts and device arrangement. Review how a person ends access, how the next person starts and which information should remain available. Customer record permissions also need checks at the receiving system. A clear sign-out control is useful, but its appearance alone does not establish that every access path ends correctly.

Does accessibility work provide certification?

The review establishes findings within the agreed pages, tasks and conditions. Automated checks and human review can contribute different evidence. Formal certification or a legal conclusion is not implied by development work. Discuss the required objective and any specialist assessment before setting the acceptance plan.

Who controls accounts and content decisions?

Your organisation retains domain and provider ownership and approves its business content and permissions. Development access is arranged for the task. The proposal should also identify who may change operating rules and who maintains the result after handover. Support planning helps make those responsibilities explicit.

Can you quote a fixed price from the service title?

A title does not establish the condition of the existing application, the available provider access or the content requiring review. A meaningful estimate follows those dependencies and a defined result. Read pricing and scope, then describe your project with the information you already have.
